A report from Jon Fowler.
Extremely hot conditions were greeted to us with another toss going the way of the opposition, the dreaded decision of putting us into bat was on the horizon but luckily for us by some miracle Urmston decided to bat first.
Jono Fowler then got us off to a fantastic start bowling Arran Sen shouldering arms for 0, Johan Harms then chipped in with another wicket of Duncan Hood caught at 1st slip for 18. Retribution was on the cards for the next wicket as Jono Fowler got Arav Shetty caught behind for 26, Johan Harms then added another wicket of Rahul Premrajh caught behind for 4 and a wicket a piece for Jono Fowler and Johan Harms left the away team struggling at 62 for 6. Then came a lull in proceedings with a 7th wicket partnership of 28 runs for approximately 20 overs. Luckily for Timperley we were able to call upon the golden arm of Abhishekh Chidambaran as he steam rolled through the tail to bowl Urmston out for 127.
As we all know 127 was not going to be enough on another excellent Timperley track and after a brilliant 41 from Jamie Matthews and 51 not out from Johan Harms, Timperley were able to chase the score down in 19.1 overs.
Next week Timperley take on Cheadle in probably our biggest game for the season and to have all the support from everyone from the club will go a long way to making sure we walk away with 25 points.
