Chasing Neston's 283, Timperley couldn't get over the line and were all out after 47 overs - their first defeat of the season.
As home skipper Ed Galley concluded it could have been so much better with Timperley building on their solid start to the season.
He said: "After some superb bowling from in form Chris Page we reduced Neston to 67-4 and were looking good to restrict them to a modest total."
"However Matt Strong hit 118 and with the support of the remaining Neston lads had other ideas as they recovered well with the help of a few dropped catches to put themselves in the driving seat"
"In response we got off to a steady start but soon started to fall behind the run rate alongside a steady fall of wickets."
"Viraj Sorathia top scored with a well made 60 but a lack of contributions from the rest of the top and middle order put the rest of our order fighting to get us back into the game."
"Ollie Byrne, Nathan Brown and Zach Thompson batted well to get us within touching distance of their score but in the end the run rate pressure and constant wickets left us too much to do."
Galley added: "The boys will certainly pick themselves up again for Saturday's big local rival game away against Bowdon. "
And if that result wasn't bad enough the second eleven had something of a disaster at Neston losing by an extraordinary 174 runs.
Skipper Shahnawaz Khan showed some resistance top scoring with 46 and picking up three wickets along with Ishan Maharajan who also collected three.
Timperley thirds did however win beating Davenham by three wickets, with teenage spinner Zaki Khalid as the home hero with a return of four for just 31 runs.
All at Timperley have been in awe of popular batsman Jason Coad who slammed 103 runs for the fourth team who scored 201 for two at Macclesfield as the visitors won by 83 runs - this means Coad breaks a long held TCC record claiming solo top-spot as with the highest number of recorded centuries in club history (12).
I think I speak on everyones behalf when I congratulate Coady for such an impressive feat.
