The Great Timperley Auction goes live on Friday 12th September so before the first bids roll in, we need one last push from our Cricket section members to help make it the biggest and best auction yet.

The Auction is raising vital funds towards the long-awaited refurbishment of Timperley Sports Club’s bar and community space – a project that will benefit every player, parent and supporter who uses the Club on a day by day basis. With planning permission approved and work scheduled to begin in 2026, every pound raised will bring us closer to transforming our 23-year-old kitchen and bar so we can bring our internal facilities up to scratch with the externals.

Last year’s auction raised an incredible £6,000 towards the new outdoor terrace. This year, the target is even bigger – £10,000 – and we need the Cricket community to step up and do its part.

What Can You Donate?

Almost anything (within reason!) can be donated as an auction ‘lot’. Popular examples include:

Sports memorabilia, kit or equipment (new or nearly new)
Vouchers for restaurants, shops or experiences
Match tickets or event passes
Bottles of wine or spirits
Holiday home stays or short breaks
Skills or services – from tutoring, music lessons, fitness coaching to DIY expertise
Hampers, gadgets or items in excellent condition

If you don’t have something personal to offer, why not approach your employer, a local business or a contact who might be willing to donate a prize? Every donation, big or small, makes a difference – and businesses can be acknowledged on the auction site for their support.

Deadline for lots – Wednesday 10th September

To give the team time to prepare the listings, all auction donations need to be submitted by Wednesday 10th September.

For each lot we’ll need:

A short description
A photo (if possible)
Any relevant details (expiry dates, terms etc)
Your name and whether you’d like to be acknowledged or remain anonymous

This is a fantastic opportunity for the Cricket community to show its support for the Club’s future. The more we raise together, the better the facilities we’ll all enjoy. Let’s make sure the Great Timperley Auction smashes its target!
