We have recently learnt of the devastating passing of ex Timperley player, Ben Beale, 47. A keen fitness enthusiast, Ben was out running and suffered a heart attack whilst training for an upcoming bout.
As our first overseas player, Ben joined Timperley in the early nineties from Perth, Australia. A true all rounder, Ben was a fast bowler and big hitter. Ben left many positive memories which are reflected in the kind words spoken in tribute since his passing.
Ben was training for a charity boxing bout following the illness and recovery of his son Mitch who suffered from Osteosarcoma (a form of bone cancer). Ben's selected charity is ToyBox in his native Australia - on Friday, Ben posted this post on Facebook
"So pumped to be involved in the 10th Anniversary of the #RQCC at Crown Towers on May 12th. So far we have been put through eight tough weeks of training with three more to go. It has been an incredible personal challenge so far but the real reason is to help raise funds for sick and disadvantaged children through ToyBox. #RQCC #theRealRQCC"

Ben leaves his wife Sarah and four children. Our thoughts are with all Ben's family and friends around the world.
Rest in Peace Ben
