The fiery team captain is showing superb end of season form top scoring on Saturday and Sunday and taking three wickets.
Known to everyone at the club as The Doc, he was was bitterly disappointed with rain forcing the cancellation of the Saturday game against Nantwich - and 24 hours his team crashed out by nine runs at the semi final stage in the Cheshire T20 competition beaten by the eventual winners Chester Boughton Hall.
He said: "It was our highest score of the season on Saturday with 293 with me hitting 60 and then it rained ... and rained. I could have done with more support on Sunday when I scored 66 and with 14 needed off the last over it proved too much."
Meanwhile rain was also the winner for the first team at Hyde with the match abandoned at the halfway stage with the home team posting 262 for 9 from their 50 overs.
Timperley proudly gave 13 year old Lancashire county all rounder and Manchester Grammar pupil Hrithvik Prakash his 1st team debut, adding to the long list of fast emerging home grown talent at the club.
First team skipper Galley said: "The soon departing Nathan Brown, and young gun Aryan Dash both of bowled well on a turning deck to produce some great wicket taking deliveries. Brown finished with 4-52 off his 10 overs and was the pick of the visitors' attack."
This weekend Stockport Road says goodbye to the long-serving Brown, who was been at Timperley for over 20 years, when he plays his last home game for Timperley before his move to Upton CC. From next year he’ll be swapping the hour long drive from his home on the Wirral for a slightly shorter two minute trip round the corner. We also say goodbye to overseas player Aussie Tim Reynolds who soon plays his last game for Timperley. It’s fair to say there’ll be a good drink at the club this weekend to celebrate both players contributions.
We hope to see as many of you as possible down on Saturday to say a proper Timperley goodbye to both Nathan and Tim.
