Ashmore, who works on runway safety at Manchester Airport, took off in style slamming 160 as the stop-start team found their rhythm reaching 316 at home against Neston.
That puts him up there as the third highest first team scorer in the club's 149 year history.
The quietly spoken batsman and spin bowler has been under the radar somewhat since signing from Grappenhall ...but not any more!
Beaming skipper Ed Galley described the team's second league win on the bounce as "a dominant display on all fronts."
Galley went on: "The star of the show was undoubtedly Ashmore with the third highest 1XI score of all time . It was an absolute masterclass of elegant and flawless timing . He was well supported by junior head coach Zac Christie who hit his first Timperley half century much to the delight of the bumper crowd enjoying the sunshine - and of course our dressing room."
"We then decimated the Neston top order courtesy of some high quality seam and swing bowling particularly from from Chris Page. Neston were at one point 58-7 and staring down the barrel of a very heavy defeat and an early finish". Page finished with five wickets, a fantastic haul for the Timperley legend.
Galley added: "It was such a pleasing performance. We were exceptional throughout. I was so pleased for Ashmore who batted with pure class and was a joy to watch. Likewise for Zac, he’s had a tough start to the year, but we all knew runs were round the corner and I’m sure he’ll take a lot of confidence from that into the rest of the season. I was pleased also with the fact we proved we don’t need our overseas star Dan Scholz to score runs for us to put a big score on the board - it just highlights what strength in depth our unit has. As for Page he just makes things happen."
Meanwhile the Timperley second team after the dressing room upsets of last week, rallied at high riding Didsbury.
The young team that included seven juniors notched a better than expected 185 for 8 which the home team chased down after 29 overs.
Skipper Shahnawaz Khan, who is a GP said it was just what the Doctor ordered! He praised the 53 from top Timperley scorer Chris Hickman and added that the youngsters had gained valuable experience.
