Brown strengthen's with two signings

Following the departure of a number of members of the 2017 1st XI squad Timperley are pleased to announce the resigning of fast bowler Jack White and offer a warm welcome to new addition Brooke Guest who joins from neighbours Sale.

The resigning of Jack White is a huge scalp after fighting off some stiff competition to secure Jack for the 2018 season.

Jack, who will be leading the Timperley attack in 2018 is currently plying his trade in Sydney for the prestigious Parramatta CC in the New South Wales Premier, playing alongside the likes of Sean Abbott and Nick Bertus.

Last season, Jack further enhanced his reputation as being one of the premier bowlers in the Cheshire County Premier league. In all competitions, he claimed 55 wickets at a strike rate of 24.84 average of 16 and a best return of 7-55 against Grappenhall. Jack's skills saw him play 8 games for Cheshire, taking 18 wickets (best bowling 5-42 against Cornwall).

In addition to Jack's signature Timperley have secured the services of wicketkeeper/ Batsmen Brook Guest from Sale. Brooke, 20 years old, currently resides in Perth WA where he ply’s his trade for South Perth in the Premier Grade. Brooke is by no means new to the Cheshire county league following two successful seasons where he amassed 1658 runs at 42.9 with the bat and took 24 catches & 7 stumping’s. These performance caught the eye of Lancashire whom he signed for in 2017. During 2017 Brooke played for Lancashire 2s where he scored 395 runs in 9 games at an average of circa 40 (Inc. 96 no) and claimed 21 catches behind the stumps. These performances were an integral role in Lancashire 2s winning the 3-day championship title and reaching the T20 finals day will be playing for Lancashire 2s again this coming season.
